Ways to minimize the risk of Autism
Lot of research is emerging with ongoing discussion to figure out the exact effects of gestational as well as prenatal environment on the developing neurons as well as immune system of an individual, which may lead to autism.
Although there is no known single cause for autism, but it is generally accepted that it is caused by abnormalities in brain structure and function of the new born. According to the results of investigations and theories, researchers are still fussy in pinpointing that causative factor of autism, but it has been directly linked with hereditary and genetic factors. For that matter, in general a lady is advised to take special care on her diet and lifestyle habits throughout her pregnancy. It has been emphasized that a woman should consume lot of green vegetables, organic grains, fruits, nuts, proteins as well as omega fatty acids. The higher consumption of protein minimizes the chances of miscarriages as well as other complications during her delivery.
It has also been evident that some of the autism cases are directly related to the exposure to harmful chemicals and hence are to be avoided unless prescribed by the doctor. Some of the precautionary measure during gestational period can be very helpful either in preventing dangerous complications such as autism or in their early diagnosis as well as treatment. Most of the hereditary diseases can be early diagnose with the help of chromosomal abnormality detection test, as early as three months of gestational period. Similarly vitamin as well as mineral deficiency in mothers, such as iron deficiency can also lead a child with autistic. Some of the lifestyle diseases, such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, iron deficiency, etc. are also observed to be responsible for autistic child and hence should be rectified well before pregnancy. Thus, for that matter, doctors have been suggesting three months vitamin supplementation, three months prior to conception and during the first trimester of the gestational period, in order to minimize the risk of developing autism.
Autism is a significant lifelong neurobehavioral disorder that requires a specialized approach to treatment. There are treatments and education approaches that can address some of the challenges associated with the condition. Hence, Intervention can help to lesson disruptive behaviors, and education can teach self help skills. As there is no single symptom or behavior that identifies people with autism, there is certain treatment that can be effective for everyone on the spectrum.
However, the advent of stem cell technology has opened up new avenues in the cure for Autistic Children. Besides, having the potential to stimulate normal functioning of glial cells, these adult cells also have the functional capacity to trigger stimulation of in vivo growth factors and immunomodulators to generate a micro environment; that can boost up the repair of damaged or weakened neurons and thus promoting improvement in impaired functions.

Loosing Memory! Find out the possible cause.

I often found my grandmother struggling to recognize people she is friend with. Most of the times forget things in her daily life. Everyone occasionally experience forgetfulness. In fact I lose many things at times because of absence of mind. While mild memory loss tends to increase with age and is generally no cause for concern. But sometimes regular Memory Loss can be due to serious illness. As you age, you may find that you have memory lapses from time to time. This is natural if you forget the name of something you just came across, or you may misplace things more often. While memory loss from normal ageing doesn’t affect your ability to function but if this is being progressive, you have to think once again about your health!

In general, there are factors which can cause memory loss like vitamin B-deficiency, sleep deprivation, use of alcohol or drugs, anesthesia from recent surgery, cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, or bone marrow transplant, head injury, and brain surgery etc. While some of these conditions are treatable and memory loss can be reversed but there are few conditions which are hard to cure like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Furthermore, progressive memory loss is a symptom of dementia. Symptoms like difficulty with reasoning, judgment, language, and thinking skills are common in patients affected with dementia. People with dementia can also exhibit behavioral problems and mood swings. Dementia usually starts gradually and gets more noticeable as it progresses. It can be caused by a variety of diseases, the most common of which is Alzheimer’s disease which impairs memory and affects reasoning, judgment, the ability to learn, communicate, and perform everyday functions. People with Alzheimer’s disease can quickly become confused and disoriented. Long-term memories are usually stronger and last longer than memories of recent events. Although it can strike earlier, this progressive disease generally affects people over age 65.It is advised to consult a doctor if memory loss is interfering with your daily activities, threatening your safety, progressing, or accompanied by other physical symptoms. If left untreated memory loss can lead to a variety of diseases and severe conditions.

Currently, there is no cure for Alzheimer's. But drug and non-drug treatments may help with both cognitive and behavioral symptoms. Conventionally only supportive treatments were present to temporarily relieve the pain or the symptoms, additionally there are many support services available for the effective management of some activities and programs such as day care services or nursing programs. Although the damage in terms of death of neurons cannot be halted or reversed with these treatment approaches till the discovery of stem cells.

The stem cell therapy approach mainly focuses on delivering the sufficient number of Adult Autologous Stem Cells which will travel into multiple areas of the brain where the damage has occurred. These transplanted stem cells are potential to transform into new brain cells which are needed for the replacement of damaged cells. They also help in creating a micro environment that will secret some of the enzymes required for making connections to replace lost parts of the complex network.

Advancells “a pioneer in stem cell therapy” have been successfully treating patients with neurodegenerative disorders using autologous stem cells. They are providing very comprehensive, individualized treatment pattern which is best suited for the patients undergoing dementia/Alzheimer's treatment.

Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP: How safe it is?

Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP: How safe it is?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a revolutionary no-operative treatment preference that not only relives pain but promotes long lasting healing of many diseases. This rapidly emerging technique shows very promising potential for many conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, ligament sprains and tears, etc. PRP is not something that subsides over time as with a conventional pain injection.
As, our blood is made up of 93% red blood cells, 6% white blood cells, 1% platelets and plasma where platelets are best known for their function of blood-clotting to stop bleeding. Platelets, yet, are much more considerable than this, as human platelets are also a critical component in injury healing. The body’s first response to tissue injury is to transport platelets to the area. Platelets begin repair and attract Stem Cells to the injury. Injecting these growth factors into injured ligaments, tendons, and joints trigger the natural repair process. Objective of PRP is to maximize the number of platelets while minimizing the number of red blood cells in a solution that is injected into the injured or pained area(s). PRP is created in a simple, painless and conventional way. The entire process of drawing blood to solution preparation only takes approximately 25-30 minutes. 30 ml of blood is drawn from the patient, just like a routine blood test. Once the blood is drawn it is then placed into a centrifuge. The centrifuge is a machine that spins the blood at high speeds in order to separate the blood into red blood cells and concentrated platelets. Once the blood is estranged the red blood cells are discarded, and we are left with concentrated platelet rich plasma (PRP) which is ready to be used in the treatment process.
PRP treatment works most effectively for chronic ligament and tendon sprains/strains that have failed other conservative treatment. With any treatment option the outcome and sustained results are highly dependent on the extent of the injury. For example in the case of mild arthritis, PRP could potentially prevent the development of further degeneration. However, in advanced arthritic degeneration the goal of the treatment is to minimize pain and improve function. PRP (potentially if used in tandem with the use of stem cells) could avoid surgery such as joint replacements and potentially spinal fusion.
The advantage to PRP therapy is different from other treatments as it has a persistent outcome and is categorized as an everlasting fix. The period for experiencing results is dependent upon the area of injury and the extent of the injury. On average, most patients start to see signs of improvement in the form of reduced pain or increased function within four to six weeks.  Generally, PRP is an especially safe treatment option with no risk of allergic result because it is your own blood. However, whenever a needle is placed in the body, there is a risk of infection, bleeding, and nerve damage. These risks do not happen a lot, and are very rare.

Early treatment can minimize the effects of Cerebral Palsy

Thursday, December 8, 2016

Cerebral palsy is a complex condition, where there is no straightforward treatment, which is because each individual is affected differently. CP is often associated with abnormal brain development or damage to some parts of the brain may be due to poor oxygen supply or internal bleeding. However, the brain injury that causes CP cannot be cured; the resulting physical impairment can be managed.  Even though there is no common truce developed for treating CP spectrum, a person’s form of cerebral palsy, extent of impairment, and severity level help to determine care.A wide range of treatments and therapies are coming up as a promise to treat CP thoroughly where Stem cell research is potentially showing successful results. Stem Cell therapy is being performed to determine whether damaged brain cells can be fixed or replaced.Additionally, it is said that “Prevention is better than cure” means avoiding risk factors before conception, during pregnancy, during labor and delivery, which primarily helps a child from developing cerebral palsy.Cerebral palsy is not a progressive disease, which means relieve for any future damage. Although the exact symptoms can change over a person’s lifetime, treatment and therapies can improve the lives to a great extent. It is advised to get a therapy as soon diagnosis proves the condition.Common treatments to CP are medicines, surgery, braces, and physical, occupational, and therapy, while there is no single treatment is best one for all children. Conventionally only supportive treatments were present to temporarily relieve the pain or the symptoms, additionally there are many support services available for the effective management of some activities and programs such as day care services or nursing programs. Although the damage in terms of death of neurons cannot be halted or reversed with this treatment approach till the discovery of stems cells. Apart from tendency to give rise to healthy neurons; these stem cells also has a unique ability to identify and home in the affected area. These cells are also responsible for creation of microenvironment and secretion of hormones for faster rejuvenation. The stem cell therapy approach mainly focuses on delivering the sufficient number of Adult Autologous Stem Cells which will travel into multiple areas of the brain where the damage has occurred.
Advancells is one of the leading medical company have been providing assistance to many children for coping up with the problems and to find out permanent solution. Their top priority is to provide very comprehensive, individualized treatment pattern which is best suited for the patients undergoing treatment.

Liver diseases and availability of their treatments

The liver is the second largest organ in the body. It performs hundreds of complex functions, including fighting infections and illness, removing toxins, such as alcohol from the body, controlling cholesterol levels, helping blood to clot or thicken, and releases bile, a liquid that breaks down fats and aids digestion.
As Liver Disease doesn't usually cause any obvious signs or symptoms until it's fairly advanced and the liver is damaged, it requires immense care. Any trauma or disturbances in normal functioning of the liver can give rise to severe liver diseases, which can create havoc. Some of the well known liver diseases are listed below:
  • Cirrhosis
  • Liver Cancer
  • Liver Failure
  • Ascites
  • Gall stones
  • Hemochromatosis
  • Primary Billiary Cirrosis
Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver caused by continuous long-term Liver Damage. Scar tissue replaces healthy tissue in the liver and prevents the liver working properly. The damage caused by cirrhosis can't be reversed and can eventually become so extensive that your liver stops functioning. This is called liver failure. Cirrhosis can be fatal if the liver fails. However, it usually takes years for the condition to reach this stage and treatment can help slow its progression.
Liver cancer is a condition that happens when normal cells in the liver become abnormal in appearance and behavior. The cancer cells can become destructive to adjacent normal tissues, and can spread both to other areas of the liver and to organs outside the liver.
Ascites is the accumulation of fluid (usually serous fluid which is a pale yellow and clear fluid) that accumulates in the abdominal (peritoneal) cavity.
Gallstones are small stones, usually made of cholesterol, that form in the gallbladder. In most cases they don't cause any symptoms and don't need to be treated.
Hemochromatosis is an iron disorder in which the body simply loads too much iron. This action is genetic and the excess iron, if left untreated, can damage joints, organs, and eventually be fatal.
Primary biliary cirrhosis, sometimes called PBC, is a disease in which the bile ducts in your liver are slowly destroyed. Bile, a fluid produced in your liver, plays a role in digesting food and helps rid your body of worn-out red blood cells, cholesterol and toxins.
With the help of the current advancements in the medical science, Stem Cells Technology can be a potential alternative to treat deadly diseases. Stem cells are the youngest cells of the body, which are capable of differentiating into many different cells with the help of proper secretion of growth factors and other cytokines. These remarkably potent cells are thus exploited by the healthcare sector to treat a variety of chronic illnesses, for which known domain of treatment is not present.
Here at Advancells, the treatment has been offered to patients who have been suffering from chronic liver diseases and desperately looking for the potential alternative treatment option to produce a cure, regenerate liver and regain the energy before being stuck down. The human bone marrow is an abundant source of resident stem cells, which can be effectively utilized for blood related disorders. They serve as a sort of cellular repair system, continuously subdividing, and giving rise to one stem cell and one tissue specific cell may be liver cell, which could potentially repair liver; that has been scarred or damaged by chronic liver diseases.
